Arvind Kejriwal Insults Indian Parliament by Tearing Copies of Law in Delhi Assembly

After getting used to doing publicity stunts to remain in the news, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is at his best once again. This time he as gone as far as tearing the copies of bills passed by the Parliament of India, in Delhi assembly. Can you believe it; that a Chief Minister will insult Indian Parliament like this?

I request the Supreme Court to take note of this act as an act of contempt to the constitution of India and insult to our democracy and sack Arvind Kejriwal from any constitutional posts he is occupying. Let this not become an example where other people will learn from him, if he goes unpunished, and we shall start seeing such insulting stunts more often.

Bengal Elections: "There Should Be Fire In Your Hearts": BJP Leader Narottam Mishra Tells Members

Veteran leader Ghanshyam Tiwari returns to the BJP

Veteran leader and former Minister Ghanshyam Tiwari rejoined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jaipur on Saturday, 2.5 years after he left the party over differences with the then Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and the party’s central leadership. Mr. Tiwari had floated a new outfit, Bharat Vahini Party, ahead of the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly election.

Mr. Tiwary is a six-time BJP MLA and considered a hardliner. Ghanshyam’s associates have also rejoined BJP in Rajasthan

On Saturday, the 72-year-old leader, who was one of the founders of the BJP in the State in 1980, told reporters at the BJP State headquarters in Jaipur that he had not joined Congress or become a primary member of the party. “I simply shared the stage in a programme of the Congress before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections,” he said.

Mr. Tiwari said he was “completely committed” to the BJP’s ideology and his “heart and soul” were with the Bharatiya Jan Sangh and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. “I had to float the Bharat Vahini Party owing to some circumstances... I did not take part in the protests organised by the Congress against the Citizenship Amendment Act and abrogation of Article 370.”

Mr. Tiwari was the Education Minister in the 2003-08 Vasundhara Raje government and the Deputy Leader of Opposition during the previous Congress regime. He had been at loggerheads with the Ms. Raje-led dispensation over the issues such as farmers’ plight, corruption and reservation for higher castes.

BJP State president Satish Poonia said Mr. Tiwari’s return to the party fold was not an exception. “Leaders like Uma Bharti, Kalyan Singh and Babulal Marandi joined back after the leaving the BJP,” he said.

Kerala Still Running State Lotteries!

Lotteries have been banned in many states in India and only a few states still run it. Mainly the poor states which do not have much revenue gathering opportunities run lotteries in order to earn some revenue. But you would be shocked to know that Kerala, a state which flaunts its high literacy level as compared to other places in India, and high remittances from Keralites settled abroad, is still running lotteries.

The Kerala state lottery department Monday announced the results of Kerala Win Win Lottery W-591. The first prize winner is ticket number WW-312252 which bagged a whopping Rs 75 lakh. The second prize was drawn by ticket number WN-191518 which bagged Rs 5 lakh, while third prize worth Rs 1 lakh was won by ticket numbers ...

The price of a single ticket is Rs 40, while the entire book costs Rs 750. If the prize money is less than Rs 5,000, the winners can claim the money from any lottery shop in Kerala. If the amount won is above Rs 5,000, the winners will have to surrender their tickets before a bank or government lottery office with id proofs.

With seven daily and multiple bumpers draws, the lottery is one of the biggest cash flows in Kerala. The state government organizes four festival bumper draws — Onam, Vishu, Christmas and Pooja/Dussehra. There are two seasonal jackpots, the monsoon and summer bumper.

No doubt, the communists led government of Kerala should ban lottery system as soon as possible and should be ashamed of running lotteries to cheat poor people from the state.

UP: CM Office Involved in Bikru Kand Related to Vikas Dubey Murder Case

Since all information about Vikas Dubey's case was never out, we are getting information in bits and pieces. It is already a known fact that the current Yogi Adityanath (real name Ajay Singh Bisht) government has been accused of bringing "Thakurvaad" (favoring Rajputs) and being anti-Brahmin (wide spread murder of Brahmins after new govt came to power). The whole "Brahmin Lives Matter" campaign was started (initiated by Congress Party) and it gained traction after the Vikas Dubey murder case.

Now a new fact has come up which indicates that CM Office was involved in killing Vikas Dubey. It is now almost clear that on the night of July 3rd, the Police team went to kill Vikas Dubey and hence he called his friends and killed the Policemen instead. All details were not out yet, but now the latest report and viral audio clip from the phone of dead CO Devendra Mishra proves it:

It seems that this senior IAS officer had called up Devendra Mishra (after he was killed) to confirm that he had died and the news about the killing was true. Therefore, it is clear that CM Office was involved in the initiative to kill Vikas Dubey from day-1.

This fact now tells about a conspiracy against Vikas Dubey and his other colleagues (all Brahmins) and the brutal manner in which the Police killed all of them in alleged Fake Encounters is a blot in the face of Indian justice system.

We should demand justice in this case by calling out UP Government and Ajay Singh Bisht's administration for killing Vikas Dubey and his associates in cold blood. All Policemen involved in the series of Fake Encounters, and all senior officers and politicians giving them direction to kill, should be brought to justice. If Yogi Adityanath had personally ordered the fake encounters, he should be brought to justice too.

UP Shame: Govt Playing Low Level Politics to Haunt Vikas Dubey's Widow

The manner in which Vikas Dubey and his associates were killed in cold blood by UP Police is a proof in itself that the Yogi Adiyanath (real name Ajay Singh Bisht) government wanted these people dead. In fact, it is now becoming very clear that the UP Police went to kill Vikas Dubey on July 3rd night and that is why Vikas Dubey got them ambushed in self defense. The gruesome manner in which all of Vikas Dubey's associates were killed later on is a blot in the face of Indian legal system.

While an SIT was formed to probe the "Fake Encounter" of Vikas Dubey, we have not heard much about any progress it ever made. It is clear that since the Government itself got all the Fake Encounters done, why would the govt allow the SIT or any probe to catch their crime? The futility of judicial probe and the helplessness Indian judiciary is facing can be clearly seen in this case. Entire world knows that Vikas Dubey was killed in a Fake Encounter by UP Police, but our country's legal system can't establish this truth. "Satyamev Jayate" is at question in this case.

In a latest event, UP Government is filing case against Vikas Dubey's widow for possessing SIM Cards taken in other people's names. This may sound silly, but it is true.

[Source: Amar Ujala].

You can also read about it on Times of India here

In the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, when it became clear that Sushant's sister had given him medicine based on telephonic prescription which is illegal, government or the CBI did not take any action against her. Rhea Chakraborty then filed an FIR and everyone believed that the FIR should be quashed because these were "petty crimes".

If giving medicine to Sushant Singh based on fake prescription was not wrong and should be pardoned, why should government take Vikas Dubey's widow using a number taken in other person's name to be serious crime? It is clear that the UP government headed by Ajay Singh Bisht a.k.a. Yogi Adityanath is haunting and trying to frame and destroy Vikas Dubey family members.

Since Indian judicial system is helpless in bringing the culprits of Fake Encounters to the books, the culprits are going ahead with more of their designs. The manner in which UP government killed Vikas Dubey and his associates illegally in cold blood was disgraceful and the manner in which they are haunting Vikas Dubey's widow is a total shame too. If Indian legal system stops working inside Uttar Pradesh borders, there are higher power which work and we can be sure that "Karma" will catch all culprits sooner or later.

Shame: Caste Based Reservation in Military (Sainik) Schools

Military Schools (Sainik Schools) in India will now reserve 27 per cent of their seats for a set of castes called 'Other Backward Castes' (OBCs) starting with the 2021-22 academic year. There are 33 such schools and they are run by the Sainik Schools Society, an autonomous organisation under the Defence Ministry.

Now in these Military Schools, 15% seats are for Scheduled Castes (SCs), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe Castes and 27% will be for 'other backward castes' (OBC).Source: IE

Caste based reservations are a blot on the face of Indian democracy because this policy discriminates the citizens on the basis of their birth based caste and religion. Constitution of India provides for right to equality and it has been long argued by the educated citizens of India to abolish caste based reservation (quota) system, but politicians use caste-based-quota for vote-bank purpose and are in no mood to ensure equality for all Indians.

Caste based reservations in Military Schools is going to compromise merit and weaken Indian Armed Forces, but our government and our politicians are least bothered about these aspects and it seems all that they care about is to win elections by vote bank appeasement politics.

Poona Pact of 1932: The Beginning of "Caste Reservation Politics" and Part of British "Divide and Rule" Policy

Poona Pact: The beginning of "caste reservation politics". It was part of British govt's "divide and rule" policy. Ambedkar was used as a means to divide Hindus on basis of castes, just like Jinnah was to divide Indians on basis of religion.

As part of the British policy to "divide and rule" India by dividing Hindus on the lines of castes and hence make them weaker, the British Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald had taken a decision to give separate electorates to 'depressed castes' for the Election of members of provincial Legislative Assemblies in British India. Mahatma Gandhi was doing a fast until death to stop this law. The British used Ambedkar as a means to end Gandhi's fast. BR Ambedkar was a known critic and hater of Gandhiji, as it is clear from his writings and speeches. Gandhi finally agreed to Ambedkar and ended his fast. A pact was signed at Yerwada Central Jail in Poona (where Gandhi ji was doing his fast). It was signed by Ambedkar on behalf of the 'depressed castes' and by Madan Mohan Malviya on behalf of the 'other caste Hindus' and Gandhi ji.

The terms of the Poona Pact were as follows.

  • There shall be electoral seats reserved for the Depressed Classes out of general electorate. Seats in the provincial Legislatures were total 147. These figures were based on the total strength of the Provincial Councils announced in Ramsay MacDonald's decision.
  • Election to these seats shall be by joint electorates subject (irrespective of castes
  • In the Central Legislature, 18% of the seats allotted to the general electorate for British India in the said legislature shall be reserved for the Depressed Classes.
  • The system of primary election to a panel of candidates for election to the Central and Provincial Legislatures as hereinbefore mentioned shall come to an end after the first ten years unless terminated sooner by mutual agreement under the provision of clause below.
  • The system of representation of Depressed Classes by reserved seats in the Provincial and Central Legislatures as provided for in clauses (1) and (4) shall continue until determined otherwise by mutual agreement between the communities concerned in this settlement.
  • In every province out of the educational grant, an adequate sum shall be earmarked for providing educational facilities to the members of Depressed Classes.

-----------

From an article by Source: The Hindu

In late September 1932, B.R. Ambedkar negotiated the Poona Pact with Mahatma Gandhi. The background to the Poona Pact was the Communal Award of August 1932, which, among other things, reserved 71 seats in the central legislature for the 'depressed castes'. Gandhi, who was opposed to the Communal Award, saw it as a British attempt to split Hindus, and began a fast unto death to have it repealed.

In a settlement negotiated with Gandhi, Ambedkar agreed for 'depressed castes' candidates to be elected by a joint electorate. However, on his insistence, slightly over twice as many seats (147) were reserved for the 'depressed castes' in the legislature than what had been allotted under the Communal Award. In addition, the Poona Pact assured a bigger representation of the 'depressed castes' in the public services while earmarking a portion of the educational grant for their uplift.

It is also highly unlikely that a clever politician like Ambedkar would not have weighed the consequences of not signing the Poona Pact. It would also not have been lost on him that Muhammad Ali Jinnah, with the Muslims of India strongly backing him, was watching and waiting to take advantage of the evolving situation.

The Poona Pact had several positive outcomes for Ambedkar. It emphatically sealed his leadership of the 'depressed castes' across India. Most of all he succeeded in making the 'depressed castes' a formidable political force for the first time in history.

As Ambedkar remarked in a 1943 address to mark the 101st birthday celebrations of Mahadev Govind Ranade, all he wanted was “a settlement of some sort”; that he was not “prepared to wait for an ideal settlement”. It is very much in this spirit that he affixed his signature to the Poona Pact.

-----------

Reading about it, we can notice that the Poona Pact was 'win-win' for the British Govt and Ambedkar and a 'loss-loss' for Congress and Mahatma Gandhi. Through the Poona Pact, the British Govt got away with their original 'caste-divide plan' and successfully ended Gandhi's fast. BR Ambedkar on the other hand established himself as the prime leader of 'Dalits' and consolidated them into a political force.

The success of Poona Pact showed that the British could get away dividing Hindus in the lines of castes and they would succeed if they pitted a Hindu against another Hindu, like they did by pitting Ambedkar, a Hindu, against Gandhi or Malaviya, also Hindus.

On the other hand, Congress and Gandhi ji had to concede from their earlier position of protesting against the  Ramsay MacDonald's decision of caste reservation in legislative assemblies. But we can understand that Gandhi ji and Congress did not have much choice than to concede. If they did not agree, India's independence movement would have degenerated into an internal mess with Hindu castes fighting against each other. In order to focus on our freedom movement, they would have given away their position, from which Ambedkar, a Gandhi-hater and who also made his followers quit Hinduism later on, gained prominence.

Rich Educated Muslims Joining IS and Influencing Others In India

At the beginning of the "Islamic State" wave, there were reports of large scale radicalization of Muslim youth all across the world including India. At that time it was widely said by media and poverty and lack of education was causing Muslims to get radicalized and join the IS. Although the profiles of the men who carried out 9/11 attacks or the attack on Indian parliament had proved this theory wrong, still, due to being repeated so many times, this theory had remained stuck in public imagination.

But time and again, new facts have been proving this theory wrong. Highly educated and rich Muslims have not only been radicalized and went on to join the IS in Syria/Iraq, they have also influenced more Muslims to join them and become terrorists.

Here is a latest news related to this which caused my thoughts to trigger:

Missing Bengaluru youth helped many join IS, killed in Syria

A business management graduate belonging to a wealthy Bengaluru family who has been missing for around seven years and was suspected to have joined the Islamic State is now known to have been killed in Syria.

Sources said the death of Faiz Masood had been confirmed by a doctor arrested in Bengaluru recently by the NIA in connection with an Islamic State Khorasan Province case. Abdur Rahman, an opthalmologist, was among the Bengaluru youths who travelled to Syria in 2013-14 to join the IS.

Investigations have revealed that Masood, then 27, who left behind his parents, wife and two young children, was closely associated with the IS in Syria and Iraq and was a key contact in Syria for Bengaluru youths trying to join the terror outfit.

Questioning by the NIA, other central and state agencies of Rahman and an alleged associate — a fellow doctor, also from Bengaluru — has reportedly revealed that the two of them had met Masood at the Syrian border town of Atme, when they crossed over from a Turkey refugee camp in end 2013.

Rahman and his associate, both 22 and medical students at the time, said Masood died in an attack on a camp that left one of them with minor injuries. This prompted them to give up plans of joining the IS and return within days of making it to Syria, seeking financial help of their parents, officials said.

Investigators claimed Rahman and his associate, who went to become doctors after returning to India, admitted that Masood’s death, the injury to one of them, as well as the serious infighting they saw among IS cadre had disillusioned them. Another alleged associate of Rahman, an aeronautical engineer, has reportedly also told investigators that Masood had facilitated his travel to Syria to join the IS. He left before the two medical students and stayed longer before suffering an injury to his arm and returning.

Masood had left for Qatar in September 2013 and disappeared soon after. His disappearance was not reported to the police by his family. Security agencies stumbled upon his name in 2014-15, as being one of those from India possibly killed in fighting in Syria, when they began looking closely at identities of IS recruits from India.

Masood was part of a group of wealthy Muslim youths from east Bengaluru who met often in 2012-13 and discussed religion. Several from the group later left to join the IS when it was established around mid-2013.

The Syria trip in 2013-14 of Rahman and others was also facilitated by a dentist and a computer applications graduate who earlier lived in Bengaluru and are currently working in Saudi Arabia.

Rahman was arrested on August 17 by the NIA on charges of conspiring with Jahanazaib Wani and his wife, held from New Delhi in March, to carry out activities of the Islamic State of Khorasan Province unit in India. In its statement, the NIA said Rahman was “in the process of developing a medical application for helping injured ISIS cadres in conflict-zones and a weaponry-related application for the benefit of ISIS fighters”.

In the first charge sheet filed in the case last week, the NIA alleged that Wani, who belongs to Kashmir, and others “were also provoking some gullible youth to participate in anti-CAA protests actively”. “In case these protests failed to provoke the Muslims, they were planning for arsoning of Government buildings & public property so that riots could happen and they could exploit the sentiments of Muslims,” the NIA said.

Can Rhea Get Away from Drug Case Putting All Blame On Sushant?

Ever since the Whatsapp chats of Rhea Chakraborty have come out where she is seen sourcing drugs; she has claimed innocence putting entire blame on Sushant Singh Rajput. She mentioned in her famous Aajtak interview that it was Sushant who used to consume drugs and she was only buying it for him. She claimed that she never did drugs herself and neither did her family. All these claims have fallen flat on her face with hard evidences that she was lying.

First, the Whatsapp chats linking her to drug dealers started from year 2017, long before she had ever met Sushant. This proves that she was linked to drugs much before Sushant came into her life and hence she can't run away putting entire blame on Sushant.

Second, Central Agnecies have found proof that drugs were procured at the Waterstone Club, and at Rhea’s residence too; apart from Sushant’s residence. It proves that she or her brother were dealing in drugs not only related to Sushant but also for others.

In the probe, Sushant's staff Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant have also cofirmed that they procured drugs only for Rhea and the timeline also started from September 2019 (much after Rhea came into Sushant's life).

According to IndiaToday report, Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant named Rhea Chakraborty, the one who was behind the purchase of illegal drugs for Sushant’s home. Samuel Miranda made a confession that he had purchased weed for the late actor from September 2019 to March 2020. He procured weed for Rs 2,500 per packet from Showik Chakraborty’s friend Suryadeep. He further named another drug supplier Kamaljeet (KJ). He further disclosed that Karmajeet used to deliver the weed to Waterstone Club, Prime Rose apartment (Rhea’s residence) and Mount Blanc apartment (Sushant’s residence). [Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Sawant Name Bollywood Celebs Who Attended Drug Parties at Sushant Singh Rajput’s Farmhouse]

It won't be easy for Rhea to just blame Sushant Singh Rajput for her entire involvement with drugs and save herself. Justice needs proofs and the proofs so far indict her and her brother clearly.

Let us wait for this case closure to be able to know the details of this whole story.

Did Rhea Really Love Sushant?

There is a news item from NDTV from April this year; it is titled, "Neither Sushant Singh Rajput Nor I Have Ever Admitted That, So It's Not True": Rhea Chakraborty On Rumoured Relationship With The Actor"

Rhea Chakraborty, in a recent interview with ETimes, denied reports about her rumoured relationship with Sushant Singh Rajput and said: "It's not true. Neither Sushant Singh Rajput nor I have ever admitted that, so it's not true. Sushant and I are really good friends. I've known him for eight years now. We were in YRF together and we had the same manager for a long period. Our friendship has evolved over the years. I love all my friends and I don't hide that. I am very public about my love for the people in my life, whether they are girls or boys."

She added that she "doesn't know" what the actor thinks about her. "Whereas Sushant is a concern, he's one of the nicest and the coolest person I know. I don't know about him but to me, he's super cute and attractive. But I don't know what he thinks about me."

It is easy to understand that she was aware of people's suspicion about the couple being in love, and she specifically clarified to remove the doubt. She denied that she and Sushant were in love.

Does the fact that Rhea and Sushant were not in love contradict the fact that they were living in together? Many people have "no strings attached" affairs and hence we can't say for sure that there is a contradiction. May be Sushant and Rhea were living together without any plan about marriage. Or may be one of them loved the other but the other did not plan to marry. Hence, we can understand that Rhea or Sushant won't be publicly admitting that they were together.

But once Sushant died, Rhea came out in the open and admitted that they were "a couple". In the famous Aajtak interview, she strongly mentioned that she and Sushant were "living like a couple". And in this news item from June 19th, "Rhea confirmed that the two were indeed dating and were even living together during the lockdown.

The question is: Why did Rhea deny her relationship with Sushant until he was alive; but admitted that they were in love immediately after he died? Was it because of a "convenience or was there a deeper conspiracy? In June, no one was blaming Rhea for Sushant's death. At that time, it was not necessary for her to disclose her relationship status to the media. It can be understood that she chose to disclose her relationship status soon after Sushant died "in order to make people take her statements seriously and with authenticity!"

And what were those statements? The statement which solved the Sushant death case even before it made people wonder. She mentioned that Sushant had mental problems and he had stopped taking medicines which explained his death! People can look at it as a very "convenient" act.

Now that Sushant is not alive, Rhea can speak anything and it will be difficult for people to do "fact checks". All we got are Sushant's roommates, while many of them were Rhea's friends, and hence we shall never be able to trust them fully!

Now, the biggest question: If Rhea loved Sushant, how could she administer him with drugs? How could she procure the drugs putting her own reputation at risk, ask detailed methods about how to give him drugs and then help him get addicted? What kind of a lover would do that? We can understand that may be girlfriends with no commitment to marry someone could do that! Or someone who was using Sushant could do that!

Rhea Chakraborty's last movie was in 2018. She did not have a movie for last 2 years. All she got was a Rumi Jaffrey's proposed film with Sushant; based on her own statements. Can we understand that all she was doing in Sushant's flat was to keep him happy so that she could get one more movie? She claimed in Aajtak interview that the couple were expecting to get Rs 14 Crores from this movie. That would have been perhaps the biggest fee she ever got for her acting. So, is this all?

Based on all facts and going through above aspects, does it not seem more appropriate that Rhea was with Sushant for a purpose? If she really "loved" Sushant, she would never have given him drugs in the manner she did. And if she was just being friends with Sushant to get her next movie-break, she should have been honest enough to mention it. But since she mentioned that she was Sushant's "lover", that changes everything. People doubt everything about her.

Which Was More Stupid: The Billboard Or the Billboard Company?

"Justice For SSR" has been a totally organic citizen's campaign to make sure that Sushant Singh Rajput's death is probed fairly and by a competent authority. The campaign started online after Mumbai Police was unable to show progress in the death probe and also a communication gap resulted in a public perception that "something is being hidden". Sushant Singh Rajput's death became a war cry: people exerted their democratic right to demand justice from the government. And Government did pay heed to it. India's top most investigative agency CBI was asked to probe the case and the probe thereafter has been fair and totally up to the mark. The campaign is a proud moment for India's democracy.

But one thing went wrong in the meanwhile: Several campaigners went "overboard". It is not to undermine the feelings of a sister, but Sushant's USA based sister Shweta Singh Kirti started getting "billboards" arranged all over the USA, writing the campaign slogan: "#JusticeForSSR":

From the beginning, I thought that the billboards were totally unnecessary because: (1) A campaign in the USA for death case of an Indian actor in India was unnecessary, (2) It created a wrong impression as if our country's legal system was corrupt, (3) The message these billboards sent to unsuspecting Americans was that "until you run a campaign, you won't get justice in India". I found these billboards stupid, because these were made with a good intention but were causing harm to our country's image.

What is worst than something stupid? Something more stupid than plain stupid! The billboard company walked out of the contract and pulled down the hoardings after terming those as part of a "smear campaign".

The fact is that the #JusticeForSSR was never a smear campaign against actress Rhea Chakraborty. It is merely that when a new angle came where Rhea was found to be holding Sushant captive, isolating him from his family and giving him drugs, people had started writing against her. But #JusticeForSSR was not "all about Rhea". #JusticeForSSR had started much before Rhea's involvement came into picture; and would also have gone beyond her with passage of time.

The Hollywood Billboard company had no right to insult Indian democracy by calling a purely people's campaign as a "smear campaign".

As if the billboards did not cause enough damage to our country's reputation already, the billboard company's nasty comment defamed our democracy in a worse manner. I wonder if the company had some kind of ideology issue with the campaign, or if its team is merely incompetent. Incompetency can be best excuse in this case because otherwise it looks totally unprofessional to first take money, put billboards and later do a shoddy research on its topic and cancel the contract.

The billboards and their end, both can be called avoidable side story in the "Justice For SSR" campaign.

"Middle Class" Drug Dealing Family of Indrajit Chakraborty

Rhea Chakraborty's father Indrajit Chakraborty has made a sarcastic comment on our country after his son's arrest in drug dealing case with NCB. He said, “Congratulations India, you have arrested my son, I’m sure next on the line is my daughter and I don’t know who is next thereafter. You have effectively demolished a middle-class family. ” [HT] [IC]

This comment is in such a bad taste. First of all, he is blaming "India" for what is happening with his family. Let me put a few questions for him:

  1. Where was he, when his son and daughter were buying drugs from drug peddlers?
  2. Where was he, when his daughter went on to "live-in" with a movie star without marriage?
  3. Where was he, when his son and daughter were living on 5 Star hotels and splurging on Sushant's money?
  4. Where was he, when his daughter isolated Sushant from his family; with full consent of him too?
  5. Where was he, when his son was buying drugs for him?
  6. Where was he, as a father, when his both children were acting totally moral-less and in an anti-social way?

Will Indrajit Chakraborty ever think about where he himself went wrong as a father or parent; rather than blaming it all on "India" for what happened to his children?

Plus, I would also challenge his comment on being a "middle class" family. Since when, a doctor living in posh Mumbai locality, whose daughter was a Movie Star, middle class? Which middle class family buys drugs and that also from drug peddlers who supply drugs to the super rich? Has he got any idea what "middle class" means anymore?

It rather seems that Indrajit Chakraborty is "appealing" to the "middle class" population of India who are demanding "Justice For SSR" and hence his children have got framed. He is angry at the middle class India which is showing its might! When the middle class India rose and demanded "Justice for SSR", Government and the Supreme Court also saw sense in conducting CBI/ED/NCB probe into Sushant's death! Indrajit Chakraborty should rather be proud of the "Middle Class India"; but since he is taking it all "personally", he is choosing to count well being of his family above what is good for India.

With hope that the Central Agencies will continue to dig the roots of Mumbai's drug cartel and bring all who are involved to justice; and no mercy for being "middle class".

NCB Taking Action Against Drug Cartel in Mumbai is Good

When Sushant Singh Rajput's death probe had started, no one had dreamed that the probe would lead to drug angle and Mumbai's drug cartel will get exposed. When it started happening, many including me did not believe in it. But with time, drug peddlers were arrested, messages of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother were found which proved that they bought drugs. Drug peddlers like Basit Parihar were arrested and several other names came out. Yesterday, NCB arrested Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda (Sushant's house-manager) related to the drug dealings.

Rhea Chakraborty said that she bought drugs for Sushant; while Showik is said to be buying drugs for Rhea and their father. If we think about it, entire family's involvement in drugs is sickening. Their father was a doctor with Indian Army; this was supposed to be a good educated family; why were they dealing drugs? Although consuming drugs in small quantity may not be a crime, but looking at the moral aspects of this case disturbs us.

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) needs lot of praise for what they are doing. NCB says it is determined to end the "drug cartel" in Mumbai and people will believe their motive as genuine. Arrest of drug peddler Basit Parihar and involvement of two others Vilatra and Kaizan are good leads.

Arrest of Showik Chakraborty and SSR's house manager Samuel Miranda by NCB changes a lot in Sushant's Death Case. It tells that the Central Agencies are determined to make a real impact. It tells that they won't stop short of anything. And at the moment, it also gives slight legitimacy to the Patna FIR filed by Sushant's father where he blamed Rhea Chakraborty's family for abatement of suicide. Whole truth is yet to come out and we are all waiting for it. But let us praise NCB for its good work at the moment.

We need good, just, fair, and efficient Govt agencies like NCB to make our society drug free. We owe it to our children and future generation that our society does not have people who buy, sell, transport or procure drugs either for themselves or for others. Whole country is with NCB. Let us hope for more good work like this.

Abatement of Suicide Theory in Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case

In the ongoing Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case, there is a primary theory which is almost established to be the most popular. The theory originated with the FIR filed by Sushant's father and so far we all have been arguing if it is true or to what extent it is. TV News Channels have championed this theory. The theory goes on like this:

Sushant Singh Rajput was doing very well in his career and he was also attached to his family very well, especially with his four sisters. Then, Rhea Chakraborty came into his life as his girlfriend and they started "living in" together in Sushant's flat. Quickly, Rhea controlled his finances, his major decisions, and then she and her brother started making Sushant a drug addict by giving him drugs! Gradually, Sushant's mental and physical health deteriorated and at this point, Rhea persuaded him that he had some kind of mental illness. Near June, when Sushant realized that Rhea was exploiting him, he sent her back to her home and then Rhea threatened him to defame him in front of the world by showing his medical records related to mental health, and also some other secrets, and ruin his career. Sushant, who was already mentally disturbed due to drugs and other medicines, got an anxiety attack and committed suicide to save himself from the pain.

Till date, no one has been able to debunk this theory. This theory has matched well with the facts and findings by the CBI and other agencies. Although, it has not been proven that Rhea had taken away Sushant's money in her bank accounts, it has been proven that she and her brother had misused and splurged on his money. The drug angle has been validated with the findings of NCB too.

Let us see what the future course of investigation mean for this theory.

"Don't conduct parallel trial in Sushant case": PCI to media outlets

Ever since Sushant Singh's father filed an FIR against Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, TV news channels have made this entire case into a "media trial". All ethical norms of journalism have gone out to the trash bin and cheap sentimentalization is the norm now. There is no regard to privacy any more. Leading the pack is Republic Bharat news channel which perhaps has no fear of censorship since it supports the ruling party BJP most of the time! But finally, Press Council of India has spoken up on this matter and sent a warning to the Media Outlets. This was a very much needed and hope the media houses adhere to the journalistic standards they are supposed to follow.

The Press Council of India on Friday said the media should adhere to the norms of journalistic conduct in covering cases under investigation and is advised not to carry out its own 'parallel trial'.

The media should not narrate the story in a manner so as to induce the general public to believe in the complicity of the person indicted, the Press Council of India (PCI) said in its advisory.

The Council said it has noted with 'distress that coverage of the alleged suicide by a film actor by many media outlets is in violation of the norms of journalistic conduct' and, therefore, advises the media to adhere to the norms framed by it.

Asserting that publishing information based on gossip about the line of investigation by official agencies on the crime committed is not desirable, the PCI said it is not advisable to vigorously report crime related issues on a 'day to day basis and comment on the evidence without ascertaining the factual matrix'.

Such reporting brings undue pressure in the course of fair investigation and trial, it said.

'The media is advised to refrain from giving excessive publicity to the victim, witnesses, suspects and accused as it will amount to invasion of their privacy rights,' the PCI said.

Identification of the witnesses by the media needs to be avoided as it endangers them to come under pressure from the accused or associates as well as investigating agencies, it said.

The PCI asserted that the media is advised not to 'conduct its own parallel trial or foretell the decision to avoid pressure during investigation and trial'.

The reporting of the alleged suicide by the actor by some of newspapers is also in violation of the norms formulated by the Council for reporting on suicide, it said.

The norm prohibits publishing stories about suicide prominently and advises the media not to unduly repeat such stories, the PCI said.

The media is expected not to use language which sensationalises or normalises suicides or presents it as a constructive solution to the problems, it said.

The PCI asked the media not to use sensational headlines or use photographs, video-footage or social media links while reporting on suicide cases.

Modus operandi of Adityanath Thakur’s Govt in Uttar Pradesh to kill “political targets”

Immediate Goals:

1. Kill political enemies

2. Send a warning message to people like the men killed

3. Create a terror in the society so that they fear the CM and his government

Modus operandi

1. If the person is a plain criminal without political impact, no matter how big he is, just arrest him and do not kill him

2. Choose to kill only big names with political clout i.e. “Strongmen” (“Bahubalis”; because for some reason someone in government wants them dead and killing only “big fish” would create a terror in the society

3. Ignore all old cases which are already in the Court since “the Mafia works outside the system”

4. Get a new case filed in Police by someone; preferably related to the victim and preferably by a person of the same caste. The cases can be even mundane and need not be serious

5. Immediately take action on the new case by doing all necessary documentation so that there is no legal loop hole

6. Arrest the person

7. Also arrest or kill the person's family members for maximum impact. Do not discriminate against women or children of his family for meting out a punishment

8. Do fake encounter claiming the victim tried to flee or attack the policemen

9. Plant stories in media and newspapers defaming the victim; especially show him as a person who did crime against people of his own caste

Goals Achieved:

1. Courts and legal system totally bypassed

2. Target killed without doing any real work like collecting evidences and doing a fair trial

3. Since the motive was to eliminate “political enemies”, it was necessary to do his murder in a mafia-like manner; i.e. a Mafia always “sends a message” to other people like the victim too

4. Ultimate goal is to run the state like a Mafia controlled place, where people are terrorized and do not question the government

Other methods:

1. Harass, trouble and threaten opposition political party leaders to the extent that they are no longer vocal

2. Use unemployed social media users to promote and trend the CM because the social media is the tool to reach out to the rest of the country and the world

3. Target specific castes or section of society which hold prominent power in society. And leave the caste which the CM belongs to for such punishment, because of obvious reason

Larger ploy:

1. Establish the personal brand of the CM as a cult leader so that one day he can qualify to be PM

2. The promotion of CM's personal brand needs to be done at the cost of (BJP) Party's image; since anyone who would stop supporting the govt would actually quit supporting the BJP but every new "fan" of the UP govt would actually be a fan of the "CM" in person.

Sushant Death Case: Popular Media Theories and Counter Arguments

I will briefly touch a few points and questions which are being repeated in the TV media as open points while their clear counter-arguments exist but no one is speaking about those.

Theory: Sushant Singh was not depressed

Counter Argument: Sushant was not a small child that his sister needed to stay at his home for 4 days (8-12 June) just to console him. It is obvious that he was depressed, perhaps suicidal, and his sister is not telling whole truth.

Theory: Rhea stole a lot of Sushant's money

Counter Argument: Sushant was not a teenage boy that his girlfriend stole all his money and he just watched. May be he willingly splurged all that money on her to impress her, like boys do to impress their girlfriends. No media is speaking this plain fact which is often seen in boyfriend-girlfriend relationships. There are boys who started doing crime to get easy money to spend on their girlfriends. And here we have Sushant whose net worth was of Rs 60 Crores. Why won't he spend money on his girlfriend to impress her?

Theory: Whatever Sushant's father says is true just because he is Sushant's father

Counter Argument: CBI should probe why Sushant's father took 45 days to file FIR and if any politicians called Sushant's father before the FIR. May be all this is just to help Nitish Kumar and BJP's image just before Bihar Election; as I wrote in my previous blog

Theory: Rhea had kept Sushant captive and did not allow him to talk to his family

Counter Argument: This theory is so silly but it is still being played in the media. Sushant was not a small kid that someone will keep him captive. Plus, his house had many flat-mates and he could easily get help from someone or the other if he was in trouble.

Theory: Sushant had very good relationship with his family

Counter Argument: Based on the news and facts learnt through media reports, Sushant clearly loved his sisters and his sisters loved and cared for him. But that is not entire "family". His sisters were married and living in their respective homes under perhaps controlling husbands. Yesterday, a Whatsapp message was being shown on TV News where one of Sushant's Jeeja (brother-in-law) had written a stern message to Sushant saying, "Stop involving my wife in your family matters". So, SSR's sister was not SSR's family? Now let us bring a counter theory: Sushant's Jeejas isolated Sushant from his sisters and it caused Sushant not to get the family support he needed at the time he was depressed. The above mentioned Whatsapp message clearly shows that at least one of his Jeejas was harsh at him. Plus, this theory also explains why SSR did not make a trip to his home or sister's place when he was depressed. Because he was not welcomed there!

Theory: Rhea is responsible for Sushant's death

Counter Argument: By now we know that Rhea and Sushant had some kind of fight after which Rhea left his home on 8th of June and blocked his number. For next 5-6 days when Sushant was alive, they did not have any conversation. When Sushant called Rhea on last day, the call did not go through as number was blocked. Now, breakup is a person's "right" and we can't blame Rhea for breaking up with Sushant. It was Sushant's decision to give up his life and perhaps he knew it and hence did not write any suicide note because he thought she would understand the reason very well. Sushant was only 34 after all.

Perhaps Sushant's family was jealous of Rhea and hence they have put all blames on her. That was my first reaction hearing about the FIR too (blog). CBI should also probe SSR's sisters and all Jeejas to see if they had abandoned Sushant or caused any mental trouble to him and if such acts were as painful to him as was his breakup with Rhea which caused him distress.

An impartial probe from all angles is expected from the CBI and we hope the truth comes out soon.

Sushant Death Case: Is Late CBI Inquiry Politically Motivated?

Finally, central government has given approval for a CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. People and fans were already seeking such a CBI probe ever since Sushant died, but government has granted it only now, after about 2 months. A few questions are natural to come. Why now?

If you notice the timing and sequence of events, it would become clear. Due to no suicide note found and some pictures of his dead body leaked in the media, people and fans became too curious to know the "whole story" of his death and started asking for a CBI probe. But govt did not budge. Maharashtra govt said that it would not allow CBI inquiry and no one thought CBI inquiry could be done if Bihar state govt asked for it, and hence no one expected it from Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. But it is safe to assume that if Central govt thought that this case deserved a CBI inquiry, it would have got the necessary procedure done. For the record, Rajya Sabha member Dr. Subramanian Swamy had already officially requested CBI inquiry by writing a letter to our PM. Afterwards, PIL was filed in Supreme Court demanding CBI inquiry but Supreme Court said a clear "no". Then, how could we get CBI inquiry even after Supreme Court said no?

Perhaps Modi Govt thought that Supreme Court would accept CBI probe and govt won't have to take the decision. "Sanp bhi mar gaya, lathi bhi nahi tuti". Because once Govt allowed CBI probe in a celebrity's death, everyone will demand the same next time something similar happened. And government won't like to keep sending CBI to inquire into each celebrity's controversial death. CBI is more for probes into political or an event of national importance. So that explains why central government was not taking a decision on this earlier.

So what changed now that govt did it? I think it is opposition parties' response and public anger which the govt thought could become issue in upcoming Bihar Election. Bihar Election is due in October 2020. Opposition parties were already making Sushant's death a big issue, e.g. Pappu Yadav or Tejaswi Yadav. Why should Nitish Kumar and BJP allow them to earn all the brownie points? So, they went for the CBI probe. CBI probe was also done perhaps since it had implications in Maharashtra politics. CBI probe would show Shivsena down, since Shivsena had clearly taken a stand that it won't allow CBI probe into the case. When Bihar Police went to Mumbai for probe, local administration did not cooperate and the forced quarantine of IPS Vinay Tiwari was clearly a case of mischief. Public opinion was totally against Shivsena Govt and BJP won't want to miss the chance to appear as a flag bearer of justice.

Then, I think the manner in which CBI probe was achieved looks like a well thought-out plan.

If Sushant's father had some facts, he could have submitted those to Mumbai Police. But a new FIR specifically against Rhea clearly tells that it was a "well thought out plan" at highest level in Bihar politics.

Now a question arises: Whether CBI Inquiry really be impartial? There are reasons to doubt this.

The manner in which Rhea has been painted as a "culprit" in the eyes of the public, tells that perhaps CBI will try hard to frame her even if she was remotely connected to Sushant's suicide. But CBI is a reputed organization and we all expect it to be impartial. It is Bihar elections which are making me worried. Whether BJP will misuse CBI to make populist statements and will it cause problem for people like Rhea even if they are innocent? Only time will tell.

Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Congress Party's Missed Moment

Today, 'Bhoomi Pujan' ceremony for Ayodhya Ram Temple has been conducted. With it, a historical justice has been done. People from entire India are celebrating the moment. The ruling party BJP and its associated members are proud of it. PM Modi himself went to Ayodhya for the ceremony. This is one moment he will never forget in his life. And this is a moment which Congress Party will also never forget.

Had the Congress party not been so adamant at its policy of "pseudo secularism" which stood for "pro minorities" and "anti Hindus", this moment won't have come today. Had Congress Party got Ram Mandir built in Ayodhya, today, BJP would have only 20-30 MPs and Rahul Gandhi or Owaisi would be our PM.  Without Ram Mandir Movement, BJP won't come to power at center. Whatever happens, happens for good.

May be Nehru ji could have got Ram Mandir built too, but he did not want it. Neither did rest of Cong govts. Indira Gandhi had other priorities too. Rajiv Gandhi just used Ayodhya issue for small political gimmick (which many call his mistake) which boosted the Ram Janmbhumi movement. But he did not want the Ram Temple too. If we look and judge, there has never been a single government which really wanted Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. In that, Modi government gets a lot of credit.

5th of August shall be remembered as a big day in the history of both national parties of India: BJP and Congress. For BJP, it is a day of a great achievement. For Congress, it is a day of self-reflection and lot of repentance.

Did Kangana do the Same as Rhea but Got Away With It? Sushant Vs Adhyayan Controversies Have Many Similarities

Recently, more facts have come out in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. His girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty has been accused by his family for abuse. Let me summarize a few points from the charges:
"In the six page long FIR, SSR's father stated that Rhea, her close friends and family cheated the actor for financial gains, kept him confined and pressurised him. He said that Rhea used to add conditions whenever a film was offered to Sushant that he would give a nod to the project only if she gets to play the lead heroine. Rhea got Sushant shifted from his original house to a resort saying that the house was haunted. He further added that Rhea used to tell him to get treated as he talks weird things. Later, Rhea got him moved to her house in Mumbai where she gave him an overdose of medicines. Rhea changed Sushant's trustworthy staff and replaced with the people who she knows. Rhea's family started controlling everything about Sushant and the actor's contact with his family was diminished. Sushant told his father that he was not able to do anything about those who were controlling him and they all wanted him to put into a mental asylum. He also stated that they also didn't allow his son to return to Patna." [Source: TOI]
Why is it that the allegations against #RheaChakraborty should remind us of some very similar allegations against #KanganaRanaut too! Just read this:
"Last year, Adhyayan, in an interview to DNA, alleged that Kangana was violent and abusive. “Kangana had this amazing knack of manipulating my emotions and drawing me back. She took me to this tarot reader Sunita Menon who said we were meant to be together and that gave me confidence and strength to work at the relationship, even though I was going through shit. I hadn’t told my parents about this. If my father ever knew that she hit me, I can’t imagine his reaction. I stopped going home, and started living with her. I started drinking and smoking a lot. My relationship with my parents changed. I became defiant. The visit to Sunita happened right after we broke up. Kangana called me to her house and started crying. She said, “I cook for you and wash your clothes and how will I live without you?” That made me very emotional and we got back together,” he said when asked about why he put up with the abuse." [Source: HT]
We can notice that both these cases have somewhat similar kind of  emotional abuse, illegal confinement, forced isolation from family, religious rituals in order to brainwash, and use of medicines or alcohol to destroy a person.

In fact these are known traits of abusive women who try to have complete control over their husbands or boyfriends and exploit them.

I don't remember reading in detail much about Adhyayan and Kangana's case while it was happening more than 10 years back; hence I don't want to stretch it beyond a point since I don't know in detail what was happening and how. But looking plainly at the allegations against Kangana Ranaut, it is clear that she was bordering around similar tendencies as Rhea Chakraborty. Kangana's abusive behavior around recent controversy with Hrithik Roshan also told much about her mental state and "methods of madness".

It happens many times that even truth is ignored since it is not backed up with facts and evidences; while a lie can pass as truth if the person lying has more evidences or influence.

Is it that Kangana abused Adhyayan and got away with it; while Rhea is paying the price due to huge public perception in her case since these are social-media times and also since Sushant was a much bigger star than Adhyayan?

This question will always remain: Did Kangana do same as Rhea but got away with it?

Sushant Singh Rajput Suicide Case: A Witch-Hunt Against Rhea Chakraborty

In a new development today, late Sushant Singh Rajput's father has filed an FIR in police against Sushant's erstwhile girlfriend Rhea Chakrabarty, alleging that she instigated Sushant to commit suicide.

I think this is as stupid as it can get.

First of all, it is common sense that Sushant was not a kid that someone like Rhea could drive him to suicide. If she was harassing him, at least more details would have come out earlier. But so far there was no such information in the public domain. Even if she instigated him, he was an adult and only he was responsible for his suicide. This is why he never left a "suicide note", since he would know that he did not have anyone to blame. If Rhea had betrayed him, Sushant would at least have written about it or spoken about it while he was alive. We can hope that Sushant's father would have produce any evidence, if he had any, to the the police.

The fact that his father filed this case so late, after more than a month since his death, may indicate two things:
  1. His family knew that Sushant had committed suicide and the whole "murder angle" was purely speculative. Then all those people who were spreading "this is a murder" or "call CBI inquiry" should rethink about what they were doing.
  2. His family is under pressure from some people who were questioning their "silence". I watched a video where one of Sushant's friends was questioning his father about why he is silent and not doing anything. Filing FIR against Sushant's "girl friend" would now silence such critics.
We should also look at this from a humanitarian angle. Rhea was Sushant's girl friend and he loved her. If she did anything wrong, Sushant could have taken action against her while he was alive. But after he is no longer there to speak about it, or to protect her, haunting his girlfriend and accusing her with allegations seems to be totally "unethical".

I think that if Rhea was really involved in Sushant's death in some manner, truth would also have come out during the ongoing probe being carried out by the Mumbai Police. There was no need to file a fresh FIR specifically against her. But perhaps it made sense in a way when we look at the fact that Sushant's father has filed this new case with "Bihar Police" and Bihar Police has already reached Mumbai to probe it. How could the police be so fast? It rather looks like that this FIR and Bihar Police's actions are "pre-planned" and motivated by "state level politics". The way some local politicians in Bihar were "using" Sushant's case to get popularity should not be ignored.

I wish that if Sushant's father has taken this decision under pressure of someone, then he should repent and take back his complaint on humanitarian grounds. He should understand that his son was an adult and he could not be forced or influenced by his girlfriend to commit suicide without at least speaking about the case. And it is totally unethical to start a "witch hunt" against Rhea now.

Post script: 29th of July 11am:
-------------------------------------

I wrote above blog post yesterday, immediately after first news reports of the FIR came out. I thought the FIR was an emotional decision by Sushant's father. But since then more details have come out in the open including complete FIR. It appears that Sushant's father has made very specific allegations against Rhea; and many of those allegations can be investigated to make clear judgement, for example, the money transfers from Sushant's bank account, his medical reports, etc. Let us hope that the Police has got a right direction to investigate now and hope their investigation will be conclusive. In this regards, we should all thank Sushant's father for coming out and fighting for justice.

In Kangana Ranaut, Myopic BJP Gets Its Kejriwal Moment Again

Time travel to the days of "Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement". Anna had traveled from Maharashtra to Delhi to organize a people's movement against corruption. He did not have many supporters, since many did not know about him. Some media reports suggested that he was an ex-RSS member. For BJP and Right Wing supporters, it mattered most that he was fighting against Congress-led government. Hence, they lapped up on him. Soon, Anna Hazare's protest-ground started getting filled with scores of supporters and it started appearing as if, all of a sudden, Anna Hazare had become a rage in Delhi. Many Right Wing leaders including Swami Ramdev started sharing the dais too and the "coalition" was complete. Congress was going to be a loser for sure.

Fast forward to 2020. Kangana Ranaut's videos and fake IDs took up Twitter by storm. She did not have many supporters, because her image had been gender and "temper" bound so far. But she (and her sister) started attacking all the "right names". Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Anurag Kashyap, Swara Bhaskar, Taapsee Pannu, BJP supporters a.k.a. Right Wing always had problem with these folks. They saw an opportunity and lapped it up. Soon, Kangana Ranaut became an internet storm. Her fake IDs  on social media platforms started getting millions of 'followers'. She also started getting interview calls from BJP's 'fan' TV channels like the Republic. The "Left wing" folks at the receiving end of her wrath started feeling the pain. Something big is expected to happen sooner or later.

Now let us switch back to the Anna Hazare moment. What did the BJP gain by supporting him? Anna Hazare movement soon converted into Kejriwal personal fiefdom and the BJP has never been able to regain popularity in Delhi. The BJP was able to remove Congress from the helm of state assembly, but in the form of AAP, a "new Congress" was born. It is imperative to think of "Kangana moment" in a similar light.

The question arises that why do the BJP and Right Wing supporters gets "used" by folks like Anna Hazare / Arvind Kejriwal or Kangana Ranaut / Rangoli Chandel? They can fail to see the plot first time, but how can they repeat the same mistakes again? There is only one reason which explains this: "short term focus".

Since the BJP focused on the "Short term" in case of Anna/Kejriwal, it was outsmarted. The same happened in the case of Maharashtra where the BJP was fooled by a cunning Shivsena. And I bet something similar is going to happen in case of "trolling queens" Kangana/Rangoli too. My guess is that Kangana and Rangoli are using the BJP to either gain something big, like a party ticket for fighting election, or settling scores against their powerful "personal enemies". No matter what the motivation is, it has to be a sinister one since their methods explain their madness.

Only time will tell if the myopic BJP top brass is competent enough to see the plot in Kangana's case and if they shall wake up before it is too late. Looking at the "Twitter trends", it does not look like a quick possibility as of now. Drunk with power at Center, the BJP and Right Wing are behaving like a disillusioned lot. Let us see what happens next.

How Mahesh Bhatt Shuts Up Kangana Ranaut

If you are on social media, you would know that Kangana Ranaut has got fake and unverified IDs created in her name and posts her videos and propaganda against big Bollywood celebrities from that ID. You would also know that she had started a tirade against Mahesh Bhatt and his daughters; the same Mahesh Bhatt who had given her a break in Bollywood with the movie "Gangster". This is the story of her ungratefulness, apart from other evils.

News from 5 days back: Kangana Ranaut hits out at Mumbai Police, says no summons served yet . As per the propaganda shared using "Team Kangana Ranaut" Twitter ID, Kangana has been approaching Mumbai Police asking them to send her summons so that she could register her statement and help the probe of Sushant Singh Rajput's death. The "Team" also accused Mumbai Police of hiding the big names by not inviting Kangana.

News from 3 days back: Kangana Ranaut summoned by Mumbai Police. Mumbai Police relents to her demand and sends summons to Kangana Ranaut. It is expected that she would go to the police station in Mumbai and record her statement. But.

News from 3 days back (same day summon was sent): Kangana Ranaut tells cops she can't travel to Mumbai during pandemic. Now guess how long so called the so called "pandemic" is going to last?

It comes out that Kangana has been living in hill station of Manali over the past in order to save herself from Corona virus. Now, whole world is doing what is necessary even during the corona virus times, since travel restrictions are off and trains and flights are running. Nana Patekar traveled to Patna to meet Sushant Singh's family. Ankita Lokhande traveled and went to meet Sushant Singh Rajput's family. But only Kangana can't travel! Any logical brain would be able to find fault with Kangana here.

Now, come to today's news. Mahesh Bhatt records his official statement at Santacruz police station. Mahesh Bhatt was sent summon by Mumbai Police due to accusations against him. And Mahesh Bhatt complied and went to the police station to help the interrogation. He was questioned by the police for 3 hours and he cooperated.

Now, remember that Mahesh Bhatt is 71 years old and people in old age are more at risk from Corona virus. But Mahesh Bhatt still went to the police station. I guess if he showed even a little disinclination to delay his visit, media would have let the dogs out and declared him guilty without trial. Being an accused without a single evidence, he had no option but to go visit the police station.

By complying to the police's summon and visiting the police station to record his statement, Mahesh Bhatt has proven that he is a man of strong character. And by declining to visit Mumbai to record her statement, making excuse of the so called "pandemic" when trains and flights are already running, Kangana Ranaut has proven that she is using Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case all for cheap publicity and nothing else.

By visiting the police station, Mahesh Bhatt has shut up Kangana Ranaut, or so called "Team Kangana Ranaut". All the demonizing and defamatory tweets and trash which this fake ID and its followers have spread for last several weeks have received a befitting reply. In a way, this case has become another Kangana Vs Hrithik war where Hrithik was not speaking initially for his side and Kangana was winning all the brownie points just by making loose allegations. It is very clear that men of integrity choose different way to express themselves and wretched women like Kangana choose different methods.

I hope that the blind supporters of a fake ID called "Team Kangana Ranaut" would wake up and realize that they were supporting a fake idol who did not even care about their real idol Sushant Singh Rajput.

What Adityanath's UP is Hiding With Its Dramatic Fake Encounter Strategy

Yesterday, a journalist was shot at on the road by a group of men in Ghaziabad. He was shot in front of his daughters who cried for help. The incident got captured on a CCTV camera, reached the internet and created a huge uproar. You can check out the video here on Rediff iShare. The journalist later died.

More details about the incident have come out today in the media. The journalist has been identified as Vikram Joshi,. There have been huge uproar in the state due to increased crime against Brahmins and allegations have been made that CM Adityanath and his government are neglecting Brahmin community purposefully. But I will leave this angle here, because perhaps not many people are comfortable acknowledging this. Moving on, it has come out that the journalist's niece was being harassed by some men; he protested and the family had made a police complaint in this matter 4 days before. But the police did not do anything and the journalist was shot dead by the criminals to teach him and his family a lesson. This incident shows status of a complete lawlessness in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Let us go back in time a little. Kanpur's local politician and strongman Vikas Dubey was targeted by UP Police and later killed after he had surrendered. Many people protested against his suspected cold blooded murder by the police; saying that he needed to face proper trial. But many  said that such fake encounters are a good measure by CM Adityanath in order to scare away the criminals and stop them from doing crimes. But the news, data and statistics tell something else.

After Vikas Dubey case, I searched the internet with key word "UP Police" to read more news related to them. And I found many cases where the police was at lapse. For example, in Kanpur, a man was abducted and ransom was asked. The police asked the family to pay ransom and they would arrest the person who comes to collect it. The family sold its property, collected Rs 30 lakhs, kept it at the place where abductors had asked them to, and waited. A man came and took away the money. And police did nothing! You can read about it here. There are many other cases. For example:
  1. Gangster Badan Singh Baddo served UP Police personnel with high-end liquor and then escaped. He has 30 cases of murder, loot etc [TOI]
  2. UP Police officer Bhishm Pal Singh was suspended for inappropriate behavior in front of woman complainant [NIE]
  3. UP Police has been served with notice by NCW for incident where a Bus conductor pushed a girl out from moving bus after finding that she was Covid19 +Ve. The girl died on the spot [ZTV]
I also started noticing who were the criminals being shot in probable fake encounters and who were simply being arrested. For example:
  1. In Rampur, UP, gangster Saleem was "arrested" after encounter [TOI]
  2. In Buland Shahar, UP, two criminals Shahnawaz and Vinod were "arrested" after encounter [BI]
  3. In Muzaffarnagar, two criminals Sukraam Pal and Susheel Mooch were "arrested" after encounter [TOI]
  4. In Islampur, Fahim, a man missing after attacking a policeman in 2015, was "arrested" after encounter [N18]
  5. In Muzaffarnagar, a criminal named Anil was "arrested" after encounter [Statsman]
Note that all above were criminals but were merely "arrested" even after "encounter". I.e. they were not killed.

After going through a lot of incidents and seeing the patter, I noticed that most of the criminals or strongmen who were being killed in probable fake encounters had some connection with non-BJP political parties. For example, even Vikas Dubey was associated with the BSP. And many criminals with equal criminal history were simply being arrested; perhaps because they did not have any political connections and hence government did not have any "political motive" to eliminate them.

I also read about an eye-opener article on Rediff. Dr Surya Pratap Singh, a retired IAS officer, wrote, "If the criminal belongs to a particular caste or if he belongs to a particular party, then he is no more a criminal." Then things started falling in place.

It seems CM Adityanath has made "Fake encounters" a calculated "strategy" in order to send a "right kind of message" in the people through media. Media loves to cover encounters and gangsters being shot dead are surely to catch limelight. The media also keeps running such news stories over many days and weeks, capturing news from various reactions of parties involved. And over the time if people keep hearing about such encounters, they would certainly start believing that UP Police is doing very good in controlling crime. But alas, the reality would be something else!

After reading many news items, the lapses on the part of the police was evident. Even in Vikas Dubey case, we all know that many in the police were his "informers". But no one wants to talk about it, since it shows bad image of the Police. Thankfully, Supreme Court is now rapping the state government for the various lapses done on their part while dealing with Vikas Dubey.

All said, it seems that the series of probable fake encounters is a strategy tailored for media used by state government to convince people that law and order situation is improving in the state. But on the ground level, perhaps there is no improvement or only a small improvement. Also, the political murders show the state government in worse light.

We hope that the government and the police would employ more holistic approach in dealing with crime and would be able to "prevent" crime rather than running at and killing every accused in cold blood attempting to prove system's efficiency. Dramatic fake encounters may be good for TV News and Internet discussions, but common people like Vikram Joshi and others are still suffering like before. And that needs improvement.
