Indian Air Force Destroys Terror Camps in Pakistan

In a very bold move by Indian Air Force and of course Indian Government, IAF went inside Pakistan border and destroyed several terrorist camps. This deserves a very open hearted praise for our Air Force and also our government. 

Surgical strikes 2.0: The Indian Air Force’s (IAF) Mirage 2000 jets today completely destroyed the biggest training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists in Balakot, Pakistan. The air strikes carried out in the early hours of 26th February come within days of the Pulwama terror attack which claimed the lives of 40 CRPF jawans in Jammu and Kashmir. With today’s air strike in which 12 Mirage 2000 fighter jets were involved, India has reportedly eliminated around 300 terrorists. The JeM facility that was destroyed in Balakot today was headed by Maulana Yousuf Azhar (alias Ustad Ghouri), the brother-in-law of Masood Azhar, Chief of JeM.

The air strikes, carried out deep inside Pakistan territory, are a big statement from India, feel defence experts. According to Air Vice Marshal Manmohan Bahadur VM (Retd), IAF has struck deep inside Pakistan. “Make no mistake, this is a strike on Pakistan. IAF jets have not crossed LoC since 1971 war and struck Pakistan territory, so in that sense this is unprecedented,” he told Financial Express Online. “India has sent a message and the statement by the Foreign Secretary is a measured one, aimed at diffusing the situation. The onus is now on Pakistan, they are in a quandary and they have no grounds to strike back, since India unlike Pakistan does not harbour any terrorist camps,” he added.

Immediately after enactment of execution of terrorist Mohammed Afzal Guru, I had expressed serious concerns on this blog that this may result in retaliation and more violence in already fragile communal climate in India. You can read the original post here:

And it happened exactly like I had predicted! Two terror bomb blasts struck in Andhra Pradesh capital city of Hyderabad which is already a communally sensitive place! This place was also related to hate-monger Owaisi! Govt has done its duty of verbally assure the masses of justice to be done; but is it really possible?

The Pakistan link with this terror attack can’t be denied. But India’s ruling party Congress is not expected to do anything to change the “root cause” of all such terror attack – which is sponsorship of terrorism by Pakistan! It is so because India’s Muslim community is Congress party’s vote bank and since they have solidarity with Pakistan for religious reasons, Congress does not even start to be harsh to the neighboring nation! But alas, until the “root cause” is addressed, how can we prevent such incidents to happen? So it seems innocent Indians will have to die in such cycles of unending violence forever!

The only hope now is for the next general elections! If the Congress party loses power, which can happen only if all vote for NDA and BJP which is the prime opposition party, situation might change for the better! So let us hope for the best! Let there be elections and let Congress go to the opposition benches! The sooner the better!
