Defamation Suit Filed Against AAP; Unlikely to Stop Party's Shameless Ways

Delhi's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is known to have used dirty tactics to promote itself during elections. "What do we have to lose?" is the thought which comes to mind of its cult-leader Kejriwal whenever he thinks about whether to play it dirty or not. The reason is that his party made electricity bills in Delhi free (till 200 units) and it has secured it a fixed set of vote-bank. These voters do not care whether the infrastructure of Delhi goes from bad to worse (they will blame central government for that) or whatever happens to public funds (most are given away by Kejriwal to his party workers in a random manners). All these voters care about is a "real benefit" they get for voting Kejriwal - a Rs 500-800 bill that they do not have to pay.

In its latest incident of playing it dirty, AAP used some videos from movies of BJP leader Manoj Tiwari and created a mashup from the same while playing AAP's party campaign song. So in the video, BJP's leader is shown dancing to the tune of AAP's election song. This has been done to get two benefits: First, they wanted to promote their party's theme song even at the cost of creating a controversy, since negative publicity also helps in such cases. And secondly, they continue to keep Manoj Tiwari at the center stage in order to spread the misinformation that Manoj Tiwari is the CM candidate from BJP which is not true.

The truth is that BJP has not declared its CM candidate. Whether it will be Vijay Goel? Whether it will be Dr. Harsh Vardhan? Whether it will be Mrs. Kiran Bedi? No one knows. The reason is simple. BJP had not done well in the last Delhi election when it had declared its CM candidate as Kiran Bedi, a woman and a Punjabi, and hence there is no strong reason to repeat the same this time around. But AAP wants to spread the misinformation that Manoj Tiwari is the CM candidate, since a lot of people do not consider Manoj Tiwari as a serious politician because of his filmy background.

Now the news is that BJP has filed a Rs 500 Crores defamation suit on AAP for using Manoj Tiwari's video in an illegal manner. Only time will tell what will happen to the defamation suit. Since similar defamation suits against Kejriwal has been ineffective in the past because he shamelessly apologizes  in the court when there is a need for such an apology in order to get the case closed.

People of Delhi should think again if they seriously want to continue with this ineffective and incompetent yet freebie distributing party called AAP. If they are so foolish, only the upcoming election result will prove.
